Mumbai has one of India's busiest padel scenes, with courts from Colaba to Vasai, and most weekends something is on somewhere: an Americano at a club, a ranking event, a corporate league. If you've played a few times and want to try a proper tournament, this guide explains how FindYourFit's Padel Palooza works, what the first Mumbai edition looked like, and the easiest way in if you're still a beginner.

What is Padel Palooza?

Padel Palooza is FindYourFit's social padel tournament. It started in Delhi in December 2024 at GD Goenka Sports Arena and has since run at REPPP in Mehrauli, CoPlay in Vasant Kunj and Padel Rushh in Gurugram, and in Bangalore at Depot 18. Mumbai joined the circuit on 18 October 2026.

The idea is simple: a full day of competitive doubles with music, food and people who actually want to talk to you between matches. The Delhi editions have offered prizes worth ₹1 lakh or more, and Bangalore added a mini HYROX circuit and brand stalls on the side. It's a tournament, but nobody is there for a ranking.

The courts at St Stanislaus are part of the 7Padel network that runs several sites across the city, including Lower Parel, Malabar Hill, Khar and Cuffe Parade.

How the tournament works

If you've never played a tournament, the format sounds more complicated than it is. FindYourFit's padel days follow the same basic shape:

  1. Check-in and draw. Pairs check in, warm up and see their group on the draw board.
  2. Group stage. Pairs are split into small groups (usually four) and play everyone else in their group. That's a round robin, so you're guaranteed several matches even if you lose your first one.
  3. Short sets. Group matches are quick. At past Paloozas they've been a race to five games, with a short tiebreak if it reaches 4–4.
  4. Knockouts. The top pairs from each group go through. Knockout matches are a little longer, usually first to six games with a seven-point tiebreak at 5–5.
  5. Final and prizes. The last two pairs play the final. Scoring in the semis and final can be adjusted on the day if the schedule runs late.

Most FindYourFit tournaments use a golden point at deuce: at 40–40, one point decides the game and the receiving pair chooses which side receives it. That keeps matches moving and means a game can never drag on forever. If you want the full scoring rules first, read our padel rules for beginners.

Can a beginner play Padel Palooza in Mumbai?

Honestly, the first Mumbai edition wasn't aimed at absolute beginners. Both categories were intermediate. If you've played fewer than ten times, you'll enjoy the day more in a format built for newer players, and FindYourFit runs those too.

Here is how FindYourFit's own events have defined the levels:

Level What it means at FindYourFit events
Beginner 1 to 3 months of playing experience
Intermediate 3 to 18 months of playing, may have played one or two city tournaments
Not allowed in amateur formats Professional or national-level players

The team leagues are the easiest door in. At the Bangalore Cup (May 2026), the Delhi Cup Padel League (August 2026) and the Jaipur Cup Padel Edition (July 2026), every team of three had to include at least one beginner, and all three players had to rotate through the doubles matches. You play real matches, but a stronger teammate is always on court with you.

A simple checklist before your first tournament

  • You can serve underarm, let the ball bounce, and hit it below your waist into the right box.
  • You let the serve bounce before returning it.
  • You're comfortable letting the ball come off the back glass before you play it.
  • You know golden point scoring, so the deciding point at 40–40 doesn't catch you off guard.
  • You've played at least a few games with your partner.

If you can tick four of those five, you're ready for a beginner or team category.

How to register for the next Mumbai date

New Mumbai dates go up on the Mumbai events page first, with the category list, the entry fee and the venue. Registrations are online, and Paloozas tend to sell out, so book early. The first Mumbai edition was full before the day.

If you'd rather warm up first, The Wellness Carnival comes to Mumbai on 7 February 2027 at Bandra Fort. It's a different kind of day (yoga, workouts, talks and a wellness bazaar), but it's a good way to meet the FindYourFit community in the city.

Where to practise padel in Mumbai before you enter

You don't need to be a club member to play. Courts are booked by the hour on apps like Hudle and District, and in Time Out's August 2026 roundup, hourly rates ran from around ₹1,250 to ₹3,000 at 7Padel sites, ₹400 to ₹3,000 at Urban Padel's Juhu, Vile Parle and Andheri courts, and ₹3,500 to ₹4,000 at Padel 360 in Worli. Split four ways, a doubles hour costs less than most people expect. Our Padel in India 2026 guide lists courts and prices city by city.
