Pickleball and padel tournament FAQs

Are the pickleball and padel tournaments beginner-friendly?

It depends on the edition. Many pickleball tournaments are built for amateurs, with rotating partners and open play, while some padel editions have intermediate categories only. Each event page lists its categories.

Do I need a partner to play?

For doubles categories, yes, you enter as a pair. Rotating-partner pickleball formats don't need one, and team formats are teams of three.

What's included in the tournament entry fee?

Your entry covers your matches across the group stage and, if you qualify, the knockouts, plus the event's goodies; past editions have also had food and drink stalls, music and prizes.

How much does a tournament cost?

Past entry fees ranged from ₹1,000–₹6,000 depending on the city and format.

How does a tournament work?

Players are split into groups and play a round robin, then the top teams go through to knockouts and a final. Pickleball matches are usually rally points to 11 or 15, and padel matches are short sets with a tiebreak and a golden point at deuce.

Where is the next tournament?
